The Batik Silk Shirt is made with 100% silk that has been batik printed by khadi fabric supplier in Kolkata, India. Batik is a traditional craft that is thought to be over 1000 years old. It’s created by using hot wax to keep certain areas of the fabric from dying, creating the two-tone effect. The process is labor-intensive and done by hand, which makes each piece unique. The shirt also features paneled construction, unfinished raw hems throughout, pointed collar, and a front buttoned placket closure. Our signature hand-stitched saffron “A” is featured on the back yoke.
